Cancellation & Refund Policy
How cancellations, changes and refunds work for Safari Zone Tadoba packages.
Last updated: July 2026.
1. What your package includes
A Safari Zone booking may combine three separate things: (a) safari permit booking assistance, (b) the gypsy, guide and gate charges, and (c) pickup & drop transport from Nagpur. Refunds are handled separately for the permit portion and the service portion, because they follow different rules — see below.
2. Safari permit fees are non-refundable
Safari permits are issued by the Maharashtra Forest Department through the official portal (mytadoba.mahaforest.gov.in). Once a permit is booked in your name it is non-transferable and non-refundable, and permit bookings close 4 days before the safari date. This is a government rule, not our charge — we cannot recover the permit fee once it is booked, so this amount cannot be refunded under any cancellation.
3. Cancellation of the service & transport portion
For the amount that is not the government permit fee (our service charge, cab pickup & drop, and any resort booking we arrange), the following applies based on when you notify us:
| You cancel | Refund of service & transport charges |
|---|---|
| 7 days or more before the safari date | 100% refund |
| 3–6 days before | 50% refund |
| Less than 3 days before, or no-show | No refund |
Refunds under this section apply only to the service and transport charges. The government permit fee (Section 2) is never refundable.
4. Rescheduling
We will do our best to move your trip to another date at no service charge if you tell us at least 3 days in advance and permit availability allows it. The government permit itself, however, generally cannot be transferred to a new date — a fresh permit may need to be booked, subject to availability and the permit rules above.
5. Park closure, weather & force majeure
If the Forest Department closes the park or cancels safaris (e.g. sudden closure, flooding, an official order) and no alternative slot is possible, we will refund the full service and transport charges. Permit refunds in that case follow whatever the Forest Department announces. We are not liable for losses caused by events beyond our control such as weather, road conditions, strikes or vehicle breakdown, but we will always try to arrange an alternative.
6. Wildlife sightings
A safari is a wildlife experience, not a guaranteed tiger sighting. No refund is due if animals are not seen during your safari.
7. How to request a cancellation or refund
Contact us as early as possible — the date you notify us is the date we use to calculate your refund:
- WhatsApp / Call: +91 8830412354
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 working days.
