Booking closes
4 days before
at 5:00 PM IST. After this, permits cannot be issued.
Government rules change between seasons. We re-check these against the official portal each season — if anything has moved, the portal is the authority.
Gates and how many gypsies each allows
Every gate has a hard cap on vehicles per safari slot. This is why popular dates disappear early — it is a fixed limit, not a sales tactic.

What we do — and what we don't
We do not issue or sell safari permits. Permits are issued only by the Maharashtra Forest Department through mytadoba.mahaforest.gov.in.
Permit, gypsy and guide charges are fixed by the Forest Department at the rates published on that portal — we do not set or mark up those rates.
What we provide is the booking legwork, the gypsy and guide arrangement, and the transport from Nagpur so the whole trip is one conversation instead of four.
Booking questions
When do Tadoba safari permits open?
Permits open 120 days before the travel date at 8:00 AM IST and close 4 days before at 5:00 PM IST. Weekend and holiday slots at the popular gates go quickly, so the earlier you send your dates the better your chance of the gate you want.
What if permits are already sold out for my dates?
We check the remaining gates and slots for your dates and tell you honestly what is left. If the core zone is full we will say so rather than take a booking we cannot fulfil, and we can suggest alternative dates or gates.
What do I need to provide to book a safari?
Your travel dates, preferred gate and safari slot, the number of guests, and a government photo ID for each guest. The Forest Department requires ID details on every permit, and the same ID must be carried and shown at the gate.
